in my opinion what made this movie so interesting was that this guy seemed to be really likable. Since he was so nice to everyone in the office, and he was so funny about everything everyone really seemed to enjoy his company and they all really trusted him. I believe the only reason he even liked mike so much was because he wasnt doing anything about his made up stories he didnt even realize they were made up. and when Chuck replaced him i think he knew he was going to look more into his stories, and thats exactly what he did. At first i didnt want chuck to fire him, but then when they started going to the places of where his story actually took place and everything was a lie, and then he read through all of the previous articles and most of the other stories were made up then i did want him to fire him. I think the character was just very likeable but im glad that he got caught.
I really enjoyed this class. I would love to go into something just like this in college next year, so having this in high school really helped. I thought mr. krebs was a great teacher, and i really enjoyed learning all of the new things. Though we didnt have a lot of time to explore more detail about journalism im very excited to continue with classes just like this in the future.

Editorial
One of the big controversies here at Eastview High School is how much it costs to park in the school parking lot. Many students are opting to just park in the ‘loser lot’ which is the lot across the soccer fields. It’s a bit of a walk, but its free, so students think that’s the better choice.
Other students believe that the now $120 parking passes are worth it. “Having to walk across the muddy lawn in the spring time, when the snow is melting, is not worth it I might not buy a parking pass first semester, but I have always bought one for the second semester.” States Jackie Tussing, a senior here at Eastview High School.
“$120 dollars is way too much to spend on a simple parking spot, especially when you can have a free one just a few more yards away.” States Ali Peterson, another senior here at Eastview High School.
In my opinion Eastview High School is torn between if they should pay for the parking pass, or if they should just suck it up and walk the distance to get to school. I personally pay for the parking pass because if you are late to school, you don’t have to walk very far too actually get into school. Or When its snowing out you don’t have to worry about walking through all of the snow. And like Jackie Tussing stated earlier, When the snow finally starts to melt the whole field just becomes mush and muddy, which is even worse to walk through then actual snow.
I think that if the school lowers the cost of the parking pass, less people will park in the loser lot, and that will result in the school actually getting more money, because more people would actually buy them. More people bought the passes when they were only $85, but now that they are $120 the loser lot Is getting a bit more packed.
I don’t know why they had to raise the prices of the pass, or what the money is even actually used for, but I do know that the price is a bit unreasonable, especially now.

Feature Story
“Most teenage girls fight, especially when they are sisters, living with each other, and are only 2 years apart.” Says my mom, Katy. Sure my sister and I have had our fights, just like any other sibling, but we can’t remember the last one, how many sisters can say that? “You guys fought almost every day when you were really little. I have no idea what happened from then and now, but I am happy.”
It’s no secret that my sister and I are close, and basically always have been. They always comment on how they wish their relationship with their sibling could be just like ours, and parents have always said how amazing it is that we genuinely love doing everything with one another, and tell each other everything.
Rachael and I don’t think there is anything special about our relationship; we don’t think it’s weird that we are close, because we have never known anything else. Not only have we gone to school together our whole lives, but we are even planning on attending colleges that are less than 3 minutes away from each other. DePaul University, where my sister goes, and where she will be a junior next year. Columbia College Chicago, where I will be attending this fall. The two schools even share some downtown campuses. Since she had started DePaul two years ago, I have gone to visit her multiple times and not only did I fall in love with Chicago, but I missed being close to my sister, being 7 hours away from each other is too far for both of us. Though I am living in dorms my freshman year, we have planned to move in with each other starting my sophomore year.
Not only do we share clothes, and other items, we have grown up with most of the same friends. We were always in sports together and we always ended up hanging out with the same people. Most think this is even weird for twins to do, and we are two years apart. Sure we each have our own individual friends but we all get along. All of my friends have a great relationship with my sister, because she and I might as well be the same person. So if someone likes me, they will love my sister.
Some people might think they have a great relationship with their siblings, but they all have certain things they would never tell them or a family member, only their friends. There is nothing about myself that my sister does not know, and same goes for her. Nothing is awkward between us, and we don’t mind sharing anything we are thinking.
Having a great relationship with my sister also gives our home a better relationship. You would think a house filled with only girls would be a lot to handle. But we know each other well enough to know when to back off, or when they need someone to talk to.
The first year my sister moved out to go to college in Chicago, it was weird for both me and my mom because I feel like the house was quieter and calmer when she wasn’t there. It was weir not having her around, and I didn’t like it. My mom and I have a great relationship as well, but even she knows that I need my sister with me for most of the time.
I hate the feeling of having all this time to myself, which is exactly what is happening with her not being here. Her first year she came home for her six weeks winter break, and then she came home for probably 2 more weekends, randomly throughout the year. And then she came home in June when the school year was over for her and she stayed throughout the whole summer before we had to move her back in to her new apartment in Chicago instead of staying at the dorms on campus. When she got an actual apartment I knew she wouldn’t be coming home as often, especially when she found a job, because then she would need to stay there for her job.
This year is her sophomore year, her first year in her apartment. She came home for the full 6 weeks of winter break, and she has actually come home for a couple weekends so far, both of them being surprise’s for my mom and I. But she recently informed us that she will not be coming home for the summer. She will of course be here for my graduation but then she has to go back to school for finals, and then she is coming back for just the weekend for my grad party and then she has to go back to Chicago for work. I never realized how many things I do with my sister until she left, and I wasn’t able to do anything with her anymore. That’s exactly why I can’t wait to move to Chicago next year so I can be with her again, and I don’t have to wait to see her when she comes home for holidays, or birthdays.
My sister and I have been through so much together, and whenever we need one another we know that we are always here to listen.
When my best friend decided to go behind my back and do something very mean, which she knew would hurt me if I ever found out, and I did, the first person I went to for help was my sister. I didn’t even have to think about it, she is the one person I know would never hurt me in any way. She always tells me that after high school you will make new friends and the people who hurt me in high school won’t matter anymore because they will be out of my life.
“You guys will go through many friends in your lifetime but you two will always be there for each other, and I love knowing that won’t change.” My mom says that to me many times. Because she knows that I always go to my sister for help, even when she’s not home.
The relationship between my sister and I will never change, in fact it will only grow stronger, so I know that whenever I need a friend, or a sister, she will be there for me, and I will always be there for her. I guess you could say that were lucky to have such a great relationship because that doesn’t come around too often, but I couldn’t imagine anything else. I know that my sister and I love each other, and that will never change.

Hard new story-Girls lax
You may have heard of the 8th grader, Megan Macnamara, that’s taking over the varsity lacrosse field this year. With only a few games under the team’s belt this season they are already off to a great start by winning their first game. Does the team owe this new team member a thank you? What exactly does Megan bring to the team?
“She brings the future of our team, it’s good to have someone so good start now and stay here for the next four years.” Says Kelly, a member of the girls varsity lacrosse team. The teams wins so far is not only on Megan, it’s because the whole team has stepped up their game.
Though they don’t exactly know how they will do, they are all hoping for the best. And with this new team member they think they have the perfect tool to get them to where they want to go. “I don’t know how we will do, but I hope we win more then we lose.” Says Kelly, a member of the girls varsity lacrosse team.
The team this season has played Hill Murry, Minneapolis, and Bloomington Jefferson, winning two of the three games they are already off to a much better start than last season. Last year the varsity girls lacrosse team only won one of their games all season, and that win coming much later in the season.
The better season can’t be all because of the new 8th grader, but the team thinks that its playing a big part. “She’s a great addition to the team because she always works so hard, her being so young doesn’t bother anyone.” Says Kaitlyn, a member of the varsity lacrosse team.
As for the future of Eastview girls lacrosse team, “She brings a great future to the team.” States Jessica Mills. The team is more than happy to have a hard working 8th grader that will be on the team for the ‘next four years. “She brings hardwork and a lot of dedication to the sport.” States Kaitlyn Lindner.
“Once you see her play you would never guess that shes so much younger, so i enjoy having her on the team.” States Jessica, a member of the girls lacrosse team. Everyone on the team seems to agree that this new player brings a lot to the team, and people shouldn’t judge her until they actually get to see her play, because even though she is a lot younger than most of the players on the team, she can really play the game.
She isn’t carrying the team though, they might be doing a lot better then they were last season at this time, but that’s because the whole team has put in a lot of effort this season to really step up their game. The whole team is very excited about the new season that they have coming up ahead of them, and they are all very excited that they get to share it with Megan, and that if they end the season well, the seniors can leave knowing that the team will have a great next four years with megan being a freshman next year, and being on varsity already.
“She brings a great future to the team.” States Jessica Mills. And I think the whole team can agree with that. Megan is greatful to have a supportive team, and the team is happy to have Megan. With this kind of chemistry I think the team will have a great season ahead of them. And with them all working together, I think they will all put in effort to make it to where they want to go.
